Vacuum tools with integral heat provide a means of debulking and curing laminates without an oven. As with all Torr
tools, each one is made to accommodate specific requirements. Common to all are a heated plate and a reusable vacuum
bagging system. Variables include part size, flatness tolerance, and available power. With the plate being
well-insulated and thermally isolated, Torr heated tools are very efficient.
3' x 4' heated table with (2) thermocouple connections in the plate for monitoring part temperature. Enclosure contains
a ramp-and-soak controller, overtemp protection, and emergency stop. The top is insulated to reduce heat loss and
increase temperature uniformity.
Table similar in size to the one above but with the addition of a heated surface on top of the part as well as
underneath. With this type of configuration, care must be take to insure that the upper heater is kept flat and not
allowed to crease.
